  2. It’s not often that a new album has me reaching for the ‘repeat’ button after listening to just one track but that was the case with ‘Hollow Shrine’. The opening track of the album, ‘Dreamers’, is one of the best tracks I have heard in a long time. It starts off in normal 4/4 time .

Das frühe Schaffen der Männer um Maynard James Keenan klingt auch auf “Hollow Shrine” an ("Nowhere Close" und allein schon der Basssound auf der gesamten Scheibe), einem geradezu typischen modernen Rock-Album mit Hang zu Epik und Prog gleichermaßen. "Dreamers" zitiert vorneweg den Opern-Zinnober von MUSE, und Sänger Vladdy beherrscht.

  6. What distinguishes "Hollow Shrine" beyond that is that no song could be called a failure. The fact that the album becomes more and more diverse and break-heavy with increasing playing time makes it even more exciting. And when they take out the tempo, like in "Waste Of Time", you can't get the melody out of your head anymore. Top track: Waste.
